2006 Round-up

So, we've done a pile of gigs in the last few months and we're just coming up to the end of the year, so I thought I'd write some nonsense... Some highlights have already been mentioned below, but really every gig has been special in it's own way. We were really pleased we could play for The Anchor Project, they're doing a great thing there. We've met and played with some great bands over the year, including More Story Fours, Smoke Fairies, Alabama 3, Mat Gibson, Bullfrog Brown, Stephen Tyman, and others who have inspired and entertained us and audiences, making the gigs we've played that extra bit special. Also via myspace we've come in contact with some special people and bands like the Brackston Hicks, Tenlons Fort, Bob Meyer and many more I cannot possibly list them all, these are just the ones I have in my head right this second... including a chap who goes by the myspace name of Bongomal who keeps us entertained...thanks for that We also met the guys from Raison D'etre Show who we'll be hooking up with next year for a few shows, which will be excellent, so look out for those.

Talking of gigs, there have been some truly wonderful promoters and venue managers who have gone out of their way to make the gigs we've played an excellent experience, but of course there has been a fair share of not so greats as well. So, we're looking forward to a more consistent year of promoters who promote and sound engineers who engineer instead of disappearing out the venue mid-gig on a phone call... Be warned, if you are our sound engineer for the night and I see you on a mobile phone while we are playing I'll probably throw something at you, okay? Okay... :o)

We've had a nice bit of radio play including some podcasts all of which have been great both from a just being played point of view but also for discovering new artists, and also some random press, which has been cool, so hopefully more to come!

Not forgetting to say a huge thanks to all of you who come to see us so often, you know who you all are, and we really do appreciate it, cheers!
